WHAT’S NEW IN STREAMING VIDEO? New from the Catholic Communication Campaign

Remembering Pope John Paul II
Although the papacy of John Paul II will be remembered for many reasons, perhaps nothing has left a more lasting impression than his pastoral visits to Catholics all over the world. During his 26 years as the pastor of the worldwide Catholic Church, he traveled more than any other Pope in history, making 104 visits to 129 different countries. This streaming video segment was produced using remarkable footage from his seven pastoral visits to the United States and extraordinary photographs from the book “John Paul II: A Light for the World”.

John Paul II: A Light for the World (Five-Part Series)
Respected in the Vatican’s inner circle but virtually unknown to the rest of the world, Cardinal Karol Wojtyla was elected Pope on October 16, 1978. He was the first Slavic Pope in history and the Church’s first non-Italian Pontiff in 455 years.
