Music Director:
Christ the King Parish in Milwaukie, Oregon
is seeking a part time music director. This person should have experience
in both music and liturgy planning. Applicant should have 1-2 years experience
in parish ministry, proficiency as cantor, accompanist, and choir director.
In addition to providing music at all of the parish liturgies this person
will also attend our monthly liturgy meeting. We seek a flexible, hard-working,

Job Description Summary: St. Cecilia
Parish is seeking an experienced accompanist/organist for the 10:45 a.m.
Sunday Mass as well as additional special liturgies. The successful applicant
will serve under the choir director, accompanying an SATB choir + cantor
and providing preludes/postludes and other incidental music year-round.
Musical skills: Accompanying

Parish Background: St. Cecilia Church is a parish of the Catholic Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon, located in suburban Beaverton. The parish was founded in 1912 and the current sanctuary was built in 1949. The parish has 3000 families and supports a K–8 school with 250 students. The parish is supported by two priests in residence, as well as a retired priest and two permanent deacons. The parish’s website is www.stceciliachurch.org. The parish is currently engaged in planning for an enlarged sanctuary and accompanying support buildings and infrastructure.
Choir Background: The 10:45 a.m.
choir numbers 16+ voices led by a professional director, and sings a wide
variety of music from Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary composers.
The sanctuary has a Rodgers 925 Oxford analogue organ with 3 manuals and
3 ranks, and a Roland HP-555G electronic piano.
