- That all persons are created male and female in the image and likeness of God and redeemed by our Lord Jesus Christ
- That God is the author of marriage and Jesus Christ has raised it to the dignity of a sacrament so as to form men and women as a community of persons
Our Mission:
- That the family is an intimate community of persons bound together by blood, marriage, or adoption for the whole of life, and is called a domestic church or household or faith
Our Service:
- Our primary mission is to be at the service of the parishes and their families, encouraging a family perspective in the daily ministry of the Church
- The Office provides information, referrals, and training in the areas of marriage preparation, marriage enrichment, natural family planning, family ministry development, formerly married ministry, men’s ministry, adult chastity education, and respect life issues and aging concerns.
- The Office also provides educational and formational activities for parish ministers dedicated to family life ministry.
