Media Catalog 2006 (v8.0)
CD Version
Please read this before running or installing Media Catalog 2006.
Minimum
Requirements
Media Catalog 2006 was written in HTML and Javascript and should work
in Internet Explorer (3.0+) and Netscape Navigator (2.0+), plus some additional
browsers. It was tested in Microsoft Internet Explorer (5.5) and Netscape
Navigator (6.1). This disk should work for PC and Mac users. It also requires
Windows 3.x, or Windows95/98/NT/2000 for installation.
File
Directories
You should be aware of which operating system your computer uses for maximum
benefit of this catalog. All files are located in the /media8 directory.
The initial file is /media8/index.htm. You should have approximately 26MB
of hard disk space available to install this catalog directly onto your
computer, but it can be run directly from the CD. Ideally, this catalog
should be placed at the root level of your hard drive (i.e. C:\).
Operating
Options
This year, Media Catalog 2006 may be operated directly from the CD or
installed directly onto your hard drive. Please refer to the Minimum Requirements
for specific details.

Search
Pages
Media Catalog 2006 employs Javascript to conduct the advanced search and
some other features. You will need to have Javascript installed and enabled
for these features to work properly. This is standard for most current
browsers (both Netscape and Explorer). Even so, Media Catalog will operate
satisfactorily in non-Javascript-enabled browsers and basic searches are
performed by the Browser (usually Control-F).
Medai Catalog 2006 is equipped with electronic form service for ordering
materials or registration; however, javascript must be enabled for these
forms to work and your email application must be properly configured for
the email function to work. See your systems administrator for assistance
with email or javascript enabling.
A 3.5 floppy disk is also available if you do not have access to a CD
player.
Thank you. We hope you find Media Catalog 2006 helpful. If you have any
questions, please don't hesitate to call us at the Resource Center at
