ADULT EDUCATION & CATECHIST FORMATION PLANNED
The Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education has announced the dates
for the
fall Adult Education / Catechist Formation
courses. The courses are designed for
general adult education as well as being
part of the Catechist Formation program. This
fall classes will be offered in Portland
at St. Clare parish, in Salem at St. Joseph parish,
at St. Paul parish in Eugene and at Sacred
Heart parish in Medford.
The Archdiocesan Adult Education / Catechist
Formation Program is designed to
help parishes:
* recognize the importance of ongoing adult formation and education in faith
* respond to the National Catechetical
Directory (NCD) calling catechists to "acquire the
knowledge, skills and abilities
needed to communicated the gospel message
effectively." (#211)
* provide support and confidence for those in the ministry of catechesis.

The cost of the classes is $10 per person per class. Classes will run from
8:00
a.m. until 5:00 p.m., with an hour lunch.
