Because of his work
in helping teachers discern if they are called to the ministry
of administration, Brother William J.
Campbell, S.M., Archdiocesan Assistant
Superintendent of Schools for personnel/technology
is one of forty Catholic national
educational leaders who was invited to
join the staffs of the Institute for Catholic
Educational Leadership at the University
of San Francisco and the Education
Department of the United States Catholic
Conference, Washington D.C., to engage in a
three-day conversation about the preparation
of future teachers and administrators for
the Church's schools, which took place
at the University of San Francisco June 8-12,
2001.
The purpose of the conference
is to provide an environment and climate for
having a conversation about how to (1)
prepare future personnel for Catholic Schools,

cultural components of a preparation program,
(3) build a collaborative network of higher
education personnel and superintendents to
