FAMILY MINISTRY LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE PLANNED

        The Archdiocesan Marriage and Family Life Office and the National Association of
Catholic Family Life Ministers (NACFLM) will host a Family Ministry Leadership Institute
in Beaverton on November 2 & 3, 2001. The Institute will be held at Our Lady of Peace
Retreat Center (3600 SW 170th Ave., Beaverton). The training begins at 10:00 a.m. on
Friday and continues until 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

        The Leadership Institute is designed to further a participant's transformation
process in how they view the relationship between family and ministry. It will provide
insight and skills for living out a vision of ministry with families in both their personal
lives and ministerial efforts. The training will be lead by Winnie Honeywell, Director of
Family Ministry in the Diocese of Galveston-Houston, TX.

        Space is limited for this workshop. Registration fee is $60 for members of
(NACFLM), and $80 for non-members. The fee includes all instructional and
educational materials. There is also a $70 fee for the retreat center, which includes one
night's lodging and meals for Friday morning through Saturday's lunch. The total cost
for (NACFLM) members is $130 and for non-members the total cost is $150. If an

        Scholarships are available for ministers within the Archdiocese of Portland.
Registration for scholarship applicants must be received by September 30, 2001. Non-
scholarship registrations are due by October 22, 2001.
