CATECHIST FORMATION COURSES PLANNED
The Catechist Formation Certificate Program courses have been announced
for
the spring session. Courses will be held
in Portland, Salem, Eugene and Medford.
Three courses will be held at each site.
The Archdiocesan Catechist Formation
Certificate Program helps provide catechists
and youth ministers with the knowledge
and skill needed to effectively communicate
the gospel message.
Courses in Eugene will be held at St. Paul parish on April 27 & 28
- What is
Catechesis?, May 11 & 12 - Church,
and May 18 & 19 - Catholic Teaching.
In Portland courses will held at St. Therese parish, in Salem at St. Vincent
de
Paul parish, and in Medford at Sacred
Heart parish. Courses at these three sites will be
held on the weekends of May 4 & 5,
May 11 & 12, and May 18 & 19. Course offerings
will be Catholic Teaching, What is Catechesis?,
and Church.
Classes at all four sites will be held from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday
evening, and Saturdays from 9:00 am until
4:00 pm.
The fee is $5 for one course and $10 for two or three courses. Registrations
should be submitted to the Archdiocesan
Office of Religious Education, 2838 E.
