RETREAT FOR THOSE WHO ARE SPECIAL CARE PROVIDERS

        "Companions for the Journey" will be the theme for a day of prayer and
reflection to be held on Friday, October 26, 2001. The retreat will be held at the Grotto
Conference Center (NE 85th & Sandy Blvd) in Portland, 9:30 am - 3:00 pm. The retreat
is for those who care for children with special health care needs. It is designed for
professionals and care providers who need, but seldom have the opportunity, to share
and reflect on their experience. It is an opportunity to renew one's spirit and one's
sense of mission.

        The retreat will be conducted by Father Peter Byrne, S.J., and by Marilyn Kirvin-
Quamme from the Jesuit Spirituality Center. The day of reflection is being sponsored
by the Archdiocese of Portland's Office for People with Disabilities and Providence Child
Care Center.

        Registration will start at 9:00 am. The fee is $25.00, which includes a box lunch.
