RESPECT LIFE WORKSHOP PLANNED

        "How to create Respect Life Outreach in your parish" is the theme for a
workshop planned for Monday, February 25, 2002. Father Denis G. Wilde, OSA will be
the presenter. The workshop will be held at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center (2838 E.
Burnside St., Portland) from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. The workshop will consider such
questions as how to organize a respect life outreach program in the parish. The
practical things that can be done to encourage the culture of life in the parish and what
resources are needed will also be discussed.

        Father Denis G. Wilde, OSA is a member of the Augustinian Province of St.
Thomas of Villanova. He has served on the faculty of Villanova University from 1977 to
1998. He is an accomplished musician and holds a doctorate in music from The
Catholic University of America. Recently he has become involved with Rachel Vineyard
retreats for those enduring post-abortion syndrome. Since 1998 he has served full-time
in the ministry of Priests for Life.

        Registration for the Respect Life workshop needs to be made by February 18th to
the Archdiocesan Marriage and Family Life Office, 503-233-8319. There is no charge
for the workshop.
