Assistant Superintendent to speak at Pittsburgh's Total Catholic Education Conference
Brother William J. Campbell, SM will speak at the Total Catholic Education
Conference sponsored by the Diocese of
Pittsburgh on October 18 – 19. Brother Bill is
the Archdiocese of Portland's Assistant
Superintendent for Personnel and Technology.
Brother Bill's topic is "Collaboration
and Teamwork in Education." His presentation will
focus on the importance of mutual support
in a Catholic school's culture and mission.
Brother Bill maintains that, "Catholic
education fosters shared responsibility at all levels.
Effective collaboration requires good
communication, clear lines of authority and
respect. Practical structures for teamwork
among administrators, faculty, parents and
students must result from this collaboration."
The Total Catholic Education Conference is the third to be held by the
Diocese of
Pittsburgh. Cardinal Francis E. George,
Archbishop of Chicago, and author George
Weigel will be the keynote presenters
for the conference. The theme for the conference
