Archdiocesan Superintendent appointed to Oregon State Committee

Robert Mizia, Archdiocesan Superintendent of Catholic Schools, has been appointed to the State of Oregon Private Elementary and Secondary School Advisory Committee. The appointment is made by the State Board of Education, and members are appointed to four-year terms.

The Advisory Committee advises the “State Superintendent of Public Instruction with respect to the quality and character of education provided by the PreK – 12 Private Schools of the State of Oregon.” The committee advises the State Board of Education on minimum criteria for private schools.

Robert Mizia has served as Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Portland since August 1995.
