How to make important life decisions in light of our faith

Young Adults from around western Oregon are invited to the Archdiocese of Portland’s Young Adult Conference, November 5 - 7, 2004. This exciting event will be held at the Resort at the Mountain at the base of Mount Hood in Welches, OR, just 45 minutes southeast of Portland. The theme is, “How to make important life decisions in light of our faith.” The conference is sponsored by the Archdiocesan Youth and Young Adult Ministry Office.

Many have found that young adults around the country are searching for a deeper way to make important decisions about careers, marriage, vocation, lifestyle, etc. The Archdiocese is pleased to have Sister Kathy Bryant from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to share some practical and faithful tools for making important decisions in life based upon the wealth of tradition and teachings of the Catholic faith. Sister Kathy has been described as a “fireball” of energy, and will inspire, challenge and lead the participants through some discernment processes. She has worked with young adults around the United States, and she is acclaimed as a funny, inspiring and challenging presenter and facilitator. In addition to sharing her gifts, there will be time for prayer, socializing and fun. Archbishop John G. Vlazny will celebrate the closing liturgy Sunday morning.

A flier and registration brochure can be found on the website www.archdpdx.org/ym/, or by contacting the Youth & Young Adult Ministry Office of the Archdiocese 503-233-8395, or by email: youthministry@archdpdx.org. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and out of high school.
