Day of Prayer for Catechists
Days of prayer have been scheduled for the catechists of the Archdiocese of Portland. The days of prayer will be held on February 4 at the Shalom Center in Mount Angel, and on February 11 at St. Rita Retreat Center in Gold Hill. The time for each day is 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The day of prayer is sponsored by the Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education.
“Strength for the Journey” will be the theme for the day of prayer. The retreat facilitator will be Barb Anderson. Ms. Anderson has a Master degree in Theology from Mount Angel Seminary, and she is currently the Pastoral Associate at St. Mary Parish in Corvallis. Barb gives retreats throughout the Pacific Northwest. The retreat will include “some timely advice” from St. Francis de Sales and St. Jean de Chantal.
The cost of the day-long retreat is $30, which includes lunch. Registration for the February 4th event is due January 30, and the registration for the February 11th event must be received by February 6.
