Provides for planning, organizing and implementing activities in the Archdiocese which promote both understanding of Catholic social teaching and responsible action for social justice and pPromotes the social ministry of the Catholic Church throughout the archdiocese by providing advocacy, education, and prayer opportunities for parish social ministry leaders, whether staff or volunteer.  Coordinates events focusing on particular social issues, as well as the broader issues of justice, charity, and Catholic Social Teaching.

should be directed to your parish.

Serves as a resource to parish leadership in family ministry topics such as marriage preparation and enrichment, natural family planning, family ministry training, formerly married ministry, and assists with respect life issues.  Provides information and referral on issues of aging, illness bereavement and end of life issues.  Provides information and referrals for family life issues, e.g.,  support groups, counseling and social services.

Provides support, resources and educational opportunities for DRE's, religious education and sacramental preparation personnel - volunteer and professional. Publishes resource materials, including the Archdiocesan DRE Handbook, and a newsletter. Personnel visit parishes, vicariate and religious education groups, providing consultation, catechist formation, training and support.
