Ash Wednesday

Lent begins with Ash Wednesday. Although this is not a Holy Day of Obligation,
many Catholics begin the Lenten season by attending Mass to receive the traditional blessing
with ashes.
Masses at 7:30am, 8:30am (School Mass), 12:15pm, and 5:30pm.
Stations of the Cross
Fridays, starting February 8, 2008
This traditional devotion commemorating Jesus' passion and death takes place in the Cathedral on the
Fridays of Lent at 7pm. On Good Friday, March 21, the Stations of the
Cross will be at 12:15pm.

Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary

On Thursday, May 22 at 6:30pm the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary will be prayed with full Choir and Scripture at
the Cathedral.
Young Adult Mass
The 5:30pm Sunday Mass on the second Sunday of the
month is the Young Adult Mass. All lay minister functions
are performed by young adults. Following Mass, young adults are invited
to share dinner at the Mazatlan Restaurant.
Elderly & Disabled Assistance
NW Portland Ministries, the
coalition of churches, synagogues, and service agencies in
NW Portland, is looking for volunteer drivers to provide
transportation for elderly and disabled NW Portland
