"It is with profound sorrow that I join with the universal Church in mourning the passing of our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis. Today, we remember and honor the life of a shepherd who devoted himself entirely to the service of Christ and His Church, a man of deep faith, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel."Pope Francis’ ministry was marked by his pastoral heart and his call for all of us to reach out to the poor, the marginalized, and the vulnerable. He inspired us to embrace mercy, to walk in humility, and to live as true disciples of Jesus Christ.As a pastor of souls, Pope Francis shepherded us through times of joy and sorrow, guiding us with wisdom, gentleness, and a deep love for the people of God. His teachings were a beacon of hope, calling us to renew our commitment to the Lord, to care for our common home, and to live with the joy of the Gospel in every corner of the world.As we grieve his passing, we give thanks to God for the gift of Pope Francis’ life and ministry. May his example continue to inspire us to live with courage, faith, and love as we carry forward the work he began. Declaración del Arzobispo Alexander Sample sobre la muerte del Papa Francisco Con profundo dolor me uno a la Iglesia universal en el luto por el fallecimiento de nuestro amado Santo Padre, el Papa Francisco. Hoy, recordamos y honramos la vida de un pastor que se dedicó por completo al servicio de Cristo y de su Iglesia, un hombre de profunda fe, compasión y compromiso inquebrantable con el Evangelio.
El ministerio del Papa Francisco estuvo marcado por su corazón pastoral y su llamado a todos a llegar a los pobres, los marginados y los vulnerables. Nos inspiró a abrazar la misericordia, a caminar con humildad y a vivir como verdaderos discípulos de Jesucristo.
Como pastor de almas, el Papa Francisco nos pastoreó en tiempos de alegría y tristeza, guiándonos con sabiduría, dulzura y un profundo amor por el pueblo de Dios. Sus enseñanzas fueron un faro de esperanza que nos llamó a renovar nuestro compromiso con el Señor, a cuidar nuestra casa común y a vivir con la alegría del Evangelio en todos los rincones del mundo.
Al lamentar su fallecimiento, damos gracias a Dios por el regalo de la vida y el ministerio del Papa Francisco. Que su ejemplo continúe inspirándonos a vivir con valentía, fe y amor mientras llevamos adelante la obra que él comenzó. Lo encomendamos ahora al Señor, orando para que descanse en la paz eterna y la gloria de Dios.
